A request to the Minister of I'mance (Mr Nash) to review his decision to limit tho availability of sterling funds for the purchase of aircraft to £IOO,OOO is contained in a telegram sent by the mayor (Mr A E. Mausford) to Mr Nash toMav It reads as follows: “ As the public appreciation of the wonderful services of the R.A.F. is very strong tho desire to express it tangibly will substantially exceed £IOO,OOO. In view of this, will you please review your decision and give your undertaking that the whole amount raised by the public for the gift plane fund will be sent Homo for that specific purpose? Further, will you give this intimation now, before the' public starts contributing
