DAOL FOR CAR CONVERSION BENCH CALLS IT GROSS CASE [Pen United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, February 15. “ This is just about as gross a case of conversion as we have had. Ido not feel disposed to extend any leniency whatever,” said Mr Levvey, S.M., in court to-day, in sentencing three soldiers from Burnham to three months for car conversion. The men were Harold iTedenck Price (mechanic), David Harold Miller (labourer), and Patrick James Houlihan. On charges of driving in a dangerous manner they were convicted and discharged. and Price and Miller, charged with being intoxicated in charge, were each convicted and had their licenses cancelled for four years. The police evidence showed that the three accused removed Dr Pairman’s car frqm his residence on Sunday, and later, after just missing a cyclist, had crashed into a hedge. ‘
