TOWN AND COUNTRY
AN EASTER CONFERENCE In an endeavour to bring town and country together to disouse mutual problems ot rivalry and co-operation, the Otago W.E.A. has arranged for a camp school to be held at Cromwell at Easter under the directorship of Professor R. W. Souter. Besides Dr Souter, the lecturers on the topic of town and country, to which four sessions will be devoted, will be Dr W. B. Sutch, secretary-economist to the Minister of Finance, and Mr A. C. Cameron, M.C., general manager of the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association •aid of the Farm Accounting Association. A second course, on psychology, will he conducted at morning sessions hy Mr H. If. Ferguson, M.A., of the University of Otago,
The Mayor and council of Cromwell, the School Committee, and sports bodies have made arrangements for the visitors to have the use of all possible local facilities, and the mayor, Mr JVC. Parcell, is patron for the school. Trips to Lake Wakatipu and Lake Wanaka are included in the five days’ programme, and good support for the venture has already been promised.
