ST. ANDREW SOCIETY
ANNUAL PICNIC The annual picnic of the above society was held at the Woodhaugh Gardens on Saturday. The Dunedin Highland Pipe Band was in attendance, and proceedings were opened with a selection by the band, this being followed by an eightsome reel. The winners of the races were: Girls 3 to 6: Jean Mary M'Ewan 1, Dorothy Anno M'Ewan 2. Boys 3to 5; lan Kerr. Girls 6 to 9: Betty O’Neil 1, Alison M'Vean 2. Boys 6 to 9 : George Lydiate 1, Oswald Kerr 2. Girls 13 to 15: Miss Davidson 1, Miss Grey 2. Boys 15 and over: Teddy M'lnues 1. George Christie 2. Pipe Band: Thomas 1, Robertson 2. Married men: O’Neil 1, M'lnnes 2. Married women; Mrs (llray 1, Mrs Kerr 2. Committee men: Brownlie 1. Watson 2. Ladies open: Mrs Brownlie 1, Mrs Jones 2. Tug of War: St. Andrew’s beat Pipe Band.
