PATRIOTIC FUNDS CAMPAIGN [Pee United Peess Association.] • WELLINGTON, February 9. After strong reiteration of the .fact that the Patriotic Funds Board and its advisory body, the Patriotic Council, are autonomous, with full power and control, not only over methods of raising funds, but also over their expenditure, Mr Nimmo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the council, addressing the Y.M.C.A. Optimists’ Club yesterday, called for the wholehearted co-operation of the members of the Y.M.C.A. to get enthusiastically behind the campaign to raise £IOO,OOO nationally, to be handed to the Patriotic Funds Board and expended solely for the benefit of troops in New Zealand and overseas.
