A JOCKEY S APPEAL (Per United Press Association.] HASTINGS, November 13. The Hawke's Bay District Committee on Saturday considered an appeal under rule 357 of the Rules of Racing by E. Deslandes, a jockey, against the Mecison of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club in disqualifying him for 12 months under rule 203-(k). After considering the appeal and taking into account the various circumstances which led to the disqualification and also to Deslandes e clean record over a period of 20 years, the penalty was reduced from U months to six months.
