SHAKESPEARE CLUB
The Dunedin Shakespeare Club is now entering upon its sixty-third year of activity in presenting readings of Shakespeare’s masterpieces to Dunedin audiences, and its choice of play on this occasion, ‘ Hamlet,’ should be welcome mews to those many patrons whose support has enabled the club to continue its. long uninterrupted service. Of all Shakespeare’s great tragedies, ‘ Hamlet ’ is the most varied in its appeal, it contains some of the greatest poetry in the world and a capable cast has been chosen to present this reading, including Mrs H. Macmillan, Misses H. Smith and U. Ferry, Messrs N. M'Kinlay, H. W. Hunter, H. Chapman, M; Joel, JL. W. Hayward, D. C. Rose, F. Lanyon, B. E. Dickinson, R, Bradley, and R. H. Simpson. The reading will be held nest Thursday at His Majesty’s Theatre. Particulars are advertised.
