SUNDAY SERVICES

At First Church the preacher will be tho Rev. W. A. Stevely. At the special college service in the morning, his subject will be ‘ The Whole Armour,’ and in the evening ‘ The Hope and Victory.’ The evening music will include the quartet and anthem, " Give Ear Unto My Prayer.’ Dr Galway will be the organist. At Knox Church Rev. H. W. Turner will conduct the morning service, and Rev. S. D. Baird will be the preacher in .the evening. ‘ In Thy Will is Our Peace ' will be the subject at the morning sendee iff St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, and: ‘ Vicarious Faith and Its Worth ’ I the subject in the evening. The Rev. Thomas Miller will be the preacher at both services.

At the the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church, the services will bo conducted by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage, his subjects being; ‘ A Labour of Love,’ and * The Door of Opportunity.’ The Wakari service will be at 7.30 p.m., and the Sunday school will meet at 10.30 a.m.

For some time past the cnoirs of the South Dunedin and Anderson’s Bay Presbyterian Churches have combined to hold an annual Choral Service, at which special music is rendered. Tomorrow evening this combined service will be held in the Bay Church. Divine worship will be conducted tomorrow morning and evening at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, by the Rev, Basil Metson. Floral services will be held and gifts of flowers will be passed on to the sick and aged. The choir will sing the anthem, ‘ The Day Thou Gavest, Lord.’

The Rev. T. Skuse, of St. Kilda, will conduct the morning service of the Methodist Church, Stuart street, by the church parlour. In the evening, at 6.30 in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, the Rev. L. B. Neale will be the (preacher, and Miss Anne, White and Mr John T. Leech will sing the duet, ‘ Love Divine, All Loves Excelling.’ Boys’ Brigade, Life Boys, Guides, and Brownies will parade at this service. The Sunday school anniversary of the St. Kilda Methodist Church takes place on Sunday. The preachers for the day are Rev. L. B. Neale, in the morning; Rev. B. Metson, in the afternoon; and Rev. T. Skuse, in the evening. The services are being held in the St. Kilda Town Hall.

Cargill Road Methodist services will be conducted by the Rev. H. O. Orchard morning and evening. The St. Clair Church anniversary services will bo conducted in the morning by the Rev. R. Patchett and in the evening by the Rev. H. R. Wright. The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct the sendees of the . Hanover Street Baptist Church, speaking in the morning on 1 Thomas Called Dulymus,’ and in the evening on ‘ I am. Alpha and Omega.’ The anthem in tho evening will be ‘ Out of the Deep Have I Called Unto Thee.’

At the Caversham Baptist Church the services will be conducted by the Rev. R. L. Fursdon. The morning subject is ‘ The Ministering , Master.’ The subject of the evening address is ‘ The Great Apostasy—Will It Follow the War?’ The choir will sing a hymn study, ‘ When the Toil of Day is Done,’ At the Theosophical Society Miss E. Hunt will give the next lecture in the brotherhood campaign, this being her final address in this city. The title will bo ‘ New Zealand: Her National Growth and Culture.’ At the Congregational Church, Moray Place, to-morrow (Armistice Sunday) the Rev. John H. Harris will conduct both morning and evening services. In the evening the choir will render Gustav Holst’s anthem ‘ Turn Back, 0 Man,’ and Mr Lex Macdonald will sing ‘ There is No Death.’ Members of the Imperial ex-Servicemeri’s Association will attend the evening service. >

At the Salvation Army in Dowling street you will this Sunday hear Major and Mrs Taylor, who are controlling the meetings in the absence of Mrs Major Duggan. At the Sunday evening meeting Mr Thomas Hart will be the vocalist. Meetings will be held at the usual times of 11 a.m., 3.15 p.m., and 7 p.m. At the Spiritualist Church, St. Andrew street, to-morrow evening there will be a memorial service for the lato Mr W. E. Reynolds. After tlm addresses Sister Swift will give spiritual clairvoyant messages. The Healing

Centre will meet at 320 Princes street on Monday evening. At the Greater World Spiritual Mission, 30 King street, _ Mrs _G. Brooks will speak, her subject being ‘ Zodiac.’ Spiritual clairvoyance and the prayer and silence circle will fol-. low. On Tuesday, at 3 p.m., and Thursday, at 8 p.m., there will be a psychometry class. In the South Dunedin Town Hall at 6.45 p.m. on Sunday Evangelist S. M. Uttley will discuss the subject entitled ‘The Israel of God.’ A, question of immense importance to -the seeker for the truth and to the one placing the Kingdom of God foremost, this discussion is purposed to clarify the origin, progress, and destiny of Abraham’s seed.
