MOANA CLUB The annual meeting of the Moana Club was held on Wednesday. There was a large attendance of members, Mr O. Cooke presiding. The Chairman made reference to the retiring president (Mr F. H. Campbell), and thanked him for his long andl valued services to the club. The following office-bearers were elected: —Patron, Mr F. H. Campbell; president, Mr R. Guy; vice-presidents —Messrs W. R. Brugh, E. Sunderland, Dr Perry, J. S. Nicolson, 0. Cooke, W. Lang, and Miss Christie; secretary, Mr R. Campbell; treasurer, Mr J. Long; auditor, Mr E. Sunderland; delegates to 0.L.T.A., Messrs Chisholm and Murray ; committee—Messrs Murray, Chisholm, Wellington, Misses Logan and Black. It was agreed that minutes of appreciation be sent to the retiring president (Mr Campbell) and secretary (Mr A. Nicolson) for their services. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, September 23, and it was agreed! to hold a social in the evening. |
