TAILSHAFT TROUBLE
SURVEY SHOWS NO FRACTURE [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 24. After a thorough survey in the Calliope Dock it has been found that no fracture has occurred in the tailshaft of the 6,000-ton American Pioneer Line motor ship Tampa. The vessel entered dock last Friday and three days were spent removing the 11-ton single screw before an examination of the tailshaft could be conducted.
