GREEN ISLAND AFFAIRS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —A good deal has been written lately regarding the above borough, particularly the state of the finances and the lavish spending (on certain items) of the present council. I would be glad if someone could enlighten the ratepayers as to the number of weeks, or is it months, that the small concrete curbing around the Council Chambers has taken to erect. 'l'wo men have been constantly employed on this job, and ns far ns the writer can remember it has taken at least six weeks to complete.—l am. etc., PIECKWOItKEJt. , August i'i.
