J.R. M'KENZIE'S ANNUAL BALL

A happy gathering of staff and friends assembled in the Tudor Hall last [Wednesday for the occasion of J. B. M'Kenzie’s annual ball. The arrangements were in the hands of a capable committee—Mr F. Hince (chairman), Misses J. M'Mullen (secretary), M. Griffen, M. Johnson, M. Ellis, and Messrs N. Blair and W. Donnelly—all of whom did their share towards making things go with a swing. The novelty dances were won by Mr and Mrs E. P. Brown, Miss C. M'Auslan and Mr A. Muntz. As an added attraction the dance programmes and paper hats were numbered, Miss Johnson’s party winning the former and Mr P. V. Soper the latter prize.
