ACTIVE DEMAND AT RECENT RATES Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 21. (Received July 22, at noon.) At the wool sales 6,933 bales were offered, including 5,645 New Zealand, and 6,305 were sold. There was a moderate selection, chiefly cross-breds, which met with active demand at recent rates. Slipes are now only 5 per cent, above the last series’ close, and at these lower levels met with better demand, csiieeialiy from Yorkshire. The following prices represent the lowest and highest obtained: —New Zealand slipe, half-bred combing lambs (Feilding). 12d to 15id; slipe crossbred combing lambs (Canterbury), JOd to IOJd.
