(Received July 21, at 8 a.m.) The Washington correspondent of the ‘ New York Times ’ says that White House pointed out that the invitation to officers of the intergovernmental committee for refugees from Germany to meet in Washington was extended upon the committee’s request, and it is felt that it would afford the President an opportunity to signalise his intense interest in German refugees and the efforts being made to find homes for them. (Received July 21, at 8 a.m.) The small Greek steamer Dora, flying the Panama flag, with 500 Jews aboard, sailed from Flushing bound for Bangkok.
