FRIDAY, JULY 21. ; (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, 5.. M.) STONE THROWING. An adjourned charge of throwing stones was heard against Aubrey Albert Donald Bills, the magistrate entering a conviction and ordering the defendant to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. CHIMNEY FIRES. “ This is a second offence —the chimney has not been cleaned,” said the Magistrate in fining John William Finch 15s and costs for permitting a chimney to catch fire. Also charged with permitting a chimney to catch lire, Fanny Bell MMlroy was convicted and discharged. CYCLIST FINED. For riding unlighted bicycles, Gerald William Withnell was lined os and costs (3s), and Lex Oliver Anderson os and costs (lOsl. MOTORISTS CHARGED. John Joseph M'llroy was fined 10s and costs (3s) for failing to carry a warrant of fitness. John Cameron was fined 20s and costs for being in charge of an unlighted motor ear For driving a motor car with defective lights Peter Noel Archer Potvine was fined 10s and costs. Charged with exceeding a speed of 30 miles an hour, Stanley Fraser was ordered to attend such classes as the chief traffic inspector might direct and to pay court costs (10s). the ease being adjourned in the meantime. For exceeding speeds of 30 miles an hour, Sydney Marshall M'Loughlin was fined 40s and costs, and Thomas M'Queen 20s and costs. _ Robert Alexander Robertson was convicted and discharged for failing to yield a right of way to a pedestrian.
