BOXING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l notice in the 1 Evening Star ’ on Monday night that I was supposed to be very fit and that I had been sparring with Stan Jenkin. This stateis entirely wrong. During the time I was at Leckie’s school I sparred with no one. I told the Boxing Association of this one week before the fight. I want the people of Dunedin to know that it was no fault of mine I did not fight on Monday night. I felt it would not be fair to the public and myself to go into the ring without proper preparations.—l am, etc., Jack Demand. June 13.
