THE CENTURION CRASH

The Centurion arrived at tho flying base in the inky darkness of a monsoon storm, and crashed after circling. The crew and passengers had remarkable escapes, scrambling out of the doors leading into the water.
TOTALLY SUBMERGED CALCUTTA. June 13. • The Centurion was totally submerged during the night and shifted 200yds. Divers and dockers are finding difficulty in raising her. “SALVAGE OF MAILS PROCEEDING LONDON, June 13. (Received June 14, at 10 a.m.) The Centurion all mail collections eastward of India. The Post Office announces that salvage is proceeding and that the mail will be dried and forwarded to its destination as it is recovered
