ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
ELECTRICAL STATION FATALITY, Coming in contact' with the main transmission line from Arapuni while working at the Public Works electrical sub-station at Mareretu. near Paparoa, yesterday afternoon, _ H. C. Young, married, of Hikurangi, received severe burns, from which he died in the Whangarei Hospital at midnight. In the capacity of relieving attendant at the sub-station he is understood to have been working on a stepladder painting electrical equipment near the main high tension wires when the accident occurred. His wife and another employee saw his clothes on fire. v They ran to his assistance and extinguished the flames with water. The deceased was suffering from brims on his chesty neck and face.—Press Association*.
