The Port Lino Ltd. received cable advice from London yesterday stating that Mr W. P. Tyser has assumed office as president of the company as from Januarv 18. and that Mr H. W. Corry lias been appointed chairman of directors. Mr Tyser was chairman of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line Ltd., as it was known prior to changing its title roomily to Port Lino Ltd. since its incorporation in 1914. Prior to joining the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, ho was chairman of the well-known Tyser Line. Mr Corry was for some years director in Australia of the Commonwealth and Dominion Lino. Before the amalgamation of the various companies forming the Port Line, ho was a partner in tho firm of James P. Corry and Co.
