DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly committee meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club was attended by Messrs A. C. Hanlon (in the chair), L. C. Hazlett, A. N. Smith. A. Clark, B. S. Irwin, L. J. Potter, W. Garrett, A. Barnett, W. J. Goughian, C. N„ Draper, and Dr F. S. Batchelor. The following Judicial! Committee was appointed for the Summer Meeting:—Messrs Garrett, Irwin, Clark, Goughian, and Draper. Messrs Potter, Smith, and Garrett were appointed an Entertainment Committee. A report was received from the chairman of the Works Committee that the ipath from the main gate to the tea rooms had been resealed and the area between the members’ stand and the stewards’ stand had also been completed. It was resolved to approve of a new form of printing in the race books which was submitted for consideration. Mr J. A. Gow was elected to .the vacancy on the committee caused; by the resignation of Mr W. F. Edmond. The secretary was instructed to write to the Taieri County Council regarding the road from Sharp’s corner to the entrance gates.
