Waipiata returned from Biuifc this evening to load and sail on Friday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. • Breeze will come to Dunedin tomorrow afternoon to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Holmdnlc is due to-morrow morning from Wellington to load and sail the same day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui.

Waipahi is due from Wellington on Saturday to load and sail the same day for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via Oamaru, Timaru, uud Lyttelton. Gale is due from Bluff on Tuesday to load and sail the same day for Wellington and Wanganui via Timaru and Lyttelton. Waiana is to leave Auckland on Saturday for Dunedin direct. She is due here on Tuesday, and will proceed to Bluff.

Wainui is due from Bluff on Tuesday to load and sail the same day for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne via ports. This will be her last trip of tho year. Port Waikato is duo from Wellington on Wednesday next to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Auckland. —Overseas.— City of Lyons arrived this morning from New York via northern ports. She is expected to sail to-morrow evening for Sydney. Nauiwa Maru is due from Japan via northern ports to-morrow to complete discharge and loading. She will sail the next day for Japan. Beduin sailed from Los Angeles on November 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She arrived at Auckland on November 24, is expected to como to Dunedin on Friday.

Speybahk sailed from Los Angeles on October 17 for Auckland, AVellington, Lyttelton, and! Dunedin. She arrived at Auckland on November 11, and is due here on Saturday. She -will sail on Monday for Melbourne. Gera left New Orleans on October 11 for Auckland, AVellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and AVanganui. She arrived at Auckland on November 10, is due here on Monday, aiid will proceed the next day to AA T anganui. AVaimararaa sailed from London on October 22 for Auckland, AVellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers. She arrived at Auckland on November 22, is due at Port Chalmers on December 8, and will sail again ou December 10 for northern ports. INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Wald no arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.J0 this morning. Passengers and mails for the south connected with the express. AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND. —Passenger.— Awatea left Wellington on Monday for Auckland, whence she sailed today for Sydney, being duo there oir Saturday. She will leave Sydney the same day for Wellington, where she is duo on Tuesday. Westralia arrived at Sydney on Monday from Wellington and at Melbourne to-day. She left the same day, and will sail from Sydney on Friday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday. Maunganui left Melbourne, on November 2J for Bluff (arrived on Sunday and sailed the next day), Dunedin (arrived vesterdav and sailed the same day), Lyttelton (duo Thursday), and Wellington (Friday). She will leave Wellington on Saturday and Bluff on Monday for Melbourne, where she is due on December 9 via Milford Sound. Niagara is due at Auckland on January 9 from Vancouver, and will sail the following day for Sydney, where she is due on January 14. Mariposa arrived at Auckland last Friday, and sailed again for Svdnoy, where she arrived on Monday, and Melbourne (due Friday). She will leave there on Monday, and Sydney on December 9, for Auckland, whore she is due on December 12. Aorangi will leave Auckland on December 13 for Sydney, where she is due, on December 17. She will leave there on December 22, and is due at Auckland on December 26. Monterey is due at Auckland on December 23! and will sail the same day for Sydney, where she is due on December 26, and Melbourne, duo December 30. —Cargo.— Karotu arrived last night from Eden. Sydney, and Hobart via Bluff. She will proceed on Friday evening to Timaru, Lyttelton, Bluff, and Sydney. Kauri will come to Dunedin to-mor-row to load for Hobart direct.

Waikouaiti, from Newcastle, Port Kembla, and Sydney via Bluff, is due here on Friday, and will sail on Monday to continue discharge at Timaru, Lyttelton, and Oamaru. Kakapo is to leave Melbourne on Saturday with Christmas fruits from tho Nardaua, from Basra. She will proceed to Bluff and Dunedin, and is due here on December 10. Kiwitea has been fixed to load coal at Newcastle to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin. Sultan Star, Napier, January 28, London. Cumberland, Wellington, January 31, London. CARGO STEAMER CONVERTED. NOW A SUCTION DREDGER. The .steel cargo steamer Sinaloa, 4,639 tons gross, which was formerly known as the William F. Rnpprich. has been converted to a suction dredger by her now owners, the Zeathern D. Smith S.S. Company Ltd., and is registered at Detroit. The Sinaloa will probably be one of the biggest suction dredgers in commission. A NEW MALABAR. A new steamer, the Malabar, lias been launched at Port Glasgow for T. and J. Broklcbank Ltd., of Liverpool, owners of several well-known steamers in the Australian trade. The Malabar is a vessel of 7,976 tons gross, and is fitted with refrigerating machinery. The last vessel known as the Malabar was a motor vessel which was owned by Burns, Philp, and Co. Ltd., and was unfortunately wrecked on the New South Wales coast to become a total loss. PORT AUCKLAND ADVISES. The Port Auckland, en route from Now York to New Zealand, has advised that she expects to arrive at Auckland next Monday. MAUNGANUI DELAYED BY RAIN. Tho Maunganui arrived from Melbourne via Bluff yesterday morning. ißain. during tho day delayed the discharge of her cargo, and she will now sail at 7 ip.m. to-day for Lyttelton and Wellington. NANIWA MARU TO-MORROW, The Naniwa Maru is now due here tomorrow morning, and will sail again the same day for Australia and Japan. ORARI LATER. The Orari, from London, is now due at Lyttelton on December 15, and at Port" Chalmers on December 20. She will sail again on December 26 for Bluff. RANGITIKI RADIOS. The ißaugitiki, which left Napier on November 19 for London, radios that weather conditions are moderate and all on board are well. NAPIER STAR LEAVES LONDON. The Blue Star Lino has received cabled advice that the Napier Star left London last Friday for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington on December 30. HUNTINGDON CLEARS BALBOA, Cabled advice has been received by tho New Zealand Shipping Company that the Huntingdon, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, cleared Balboa, on November 23. She is due at Auckland on December 15. PORT WHANGAREI FOR SUVA. Under charter to the Union Company, the motor ship Port Whangarei is to leave Auckland next Friday for Suva to load fruit for Auckland.
