UNAVOIDABLE DELAYS (British Official Wireless.) Press Association-—By Telegraph—Coypright RUGBY. November 23. Despite unavoidable delays, necessitating modification in the programme of transatlantic experimental flights, it is still hoped by the Air Ministry that it will be possible to start a regular air mail service some time next year. In the House of Commons the Under-Secretary for Air explained that minor changes found desirable in the Albatross land plane and delay in the production of Empire flying boats owing to defence requirements had (prevented the carrying out of the original programme, and it had been decided to defer continuation of the experimental flights until more favourable conditions in the spring.
