FIRES OUT OF CONTROL

Bush fires which are raging out of control in throe southern Californian counties set fire to Arrowhead Springs Hotel, which was valued at 1,000,000 dollars, and destroyed scores of homes in the Santa Monica Mountains. Then they raced towards the famous Malibu movie colony. The hotel is believed to be doomed despite the efiorts of hundreds of firefighters. A school bus loaded with children is reported to bo stranded in the danger zone. The homes of several notable movie stars appear to be doomed, including the homes of Madeleine Carroll and Frank Lloyd, a director.
