BISHOP OF WAIAPU
CONSECRATION SERVICE AN IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY [Per United Press Association.] NAPIER, October 28. At an impressive ceremony _ this morning the At. Rev. George Vincent Gerard was consecrated Bishop of Waiapu. He was attended by the Bishops of the Province of New Zealand; there being a large gathering of clergy, laity, and public present. The consecration service was conducted by the Primate, Archbishop Averill. The Bishop of Christchurch (Bishop WestWatson) was the preacher_for the day.
