ELECTION RESULTS
DUNEDIN NORTH ¥ INCREASE FOR MR MUKRO The official count in the Dunedin North electorate, just completed, gives Mr J. W. Munro (Labour) a further increase of 162 (3,395) in his majority over his opponent, Mr A. S. Falconer (National). The completed returns are as follows: J. W. Munro (Labour) 8,872 A. S. Falconer (National) ... 5,315 Informal 83. Postal, .seauien’e, and absentee votes were distributed as follows :—Postal— Mr Munro, 155; Mr Falconer, 133; informal 28. Absentee: Mr Munro, 278; Mr Falconer, 261; informal, 7. Seamen’s: Mr Munro, 30; Mr Falconer, 6. There were also six declaration votes which went to Mr Munro. The figures at the conclusion of the count on the night of the election vyere, Mr Munro 8,403, and Mr Falconer 5,008.
