BIG BOWLING TOURNAMENT
SAN FRANCISCO EXPOSITION NEW ZEALANDERS EXPECTED TO TAKE PART [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 28. The likelihood of New Zealand howlers taking part in the big tournament at the San Francisco Exposition next year was mentioned by Mr W. J. Truscott, president of the Auckland Bowling Centre, who returned by the Monterey from a holiday trip. He said that he met the president and members of the executive of the California Bowling Association, who said they were expecting bowlers from New Zealand, Australia, and England to participate at their tourney. Now that the United States has been accepted into the world of bowlers the game is steadily increasing in popularity particularly in California,” Mr Truscott added.
