PLUNKET SHIELD CRICKET
OTAGO-CANTEREURY MATCH Dates in February for the OtagoCanterhury Phinket Shield game, to be played at Dunedin, were considered at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association on Tuesday night. A letter was received from the Otago Association suggesting February 18, 20. 21. and 22 for the match. • The chairman (Mr W. L. King) said it would be preferable to have the fixture earlier in February, as Sir Julien Calm’s team was to begin its match in Christchurch on February 24. The meeting agreed to his proposal that an earlier date should be proposed, and that the Otago Association be asked if February 3 would be suitable for the opening of the game.
