THE POSITION IN NEW SOUTH WALES GOVERNMENT TO INTERVENE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, July 27. The ‘ Sun ’ newspaper reports that the State Government has decided to intervene and try to prevent a general strike in the coal industry. The Cabinet has authorised the Minister of Labour (Mr Mair) to visit the southern and northern coalfields to investigate the complaints and report to the, Government whether mediatory action should be taken.
