BOXING COUNCIL INQUIRY
HAMILTON-GANZON CONTEST (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 28. The New Zealand Boxing Council’s inquiry into the recent HamiltonGanzon contest at Wellington was advanced a further stage last night, when the report submitted by the Wellington Association was considered. In accordance with the council’s rules, it was decided to advise certain persons of the charges against them, and to allow a, week in which to reply. TURF IN ENGLAND LONDON, July 27. (Received July 28, at 11.30 a.m.) The Goodwood Stakes, £1,400, about two miles and three furlongs, resulted: NAVAL DISPLAY t SNAKELIGHT t Bahuddin 3 Eleven started. A dead-heat; third horse five lengths away.
