FULL CATALOGUE FOR TO-MORROW *To-morrow’s ‘ Sports Special ’ will be a very full one, as to the day’s news. All codes are now in full swing, and in addition the second day of the Forbury Park trots provides a substantial accretion of interest. The chief Rugby match, University A v. Taieri, is arousing a lot of speculation after the latter’s very doughty fight against the formidable Southern last week. Seven pages of illustrated sporting articles and reviews will buttress the two pages devoted to the day’s events, and the magazine section should prove even more absorbing than last week. Its chief feature will be an inquiry by a noted woman journalist, Beatrice Schaffer, on a topic that has motivated men and women ever since the birth of civilisation —the quest for a means to influence the sex of offspring. The fate of dynasties has been changed by man’s failure to solve this question, and the authoress assembles theories in very interesting fashion. Other features will be another fascinating group concentration experiment for the many interested in mind-reading, a fresh instalment of the serial ‘ Lone Hand Laracy,’ and a new crossword puzzle, with three prizes for successful solvers. ’ , The * Sports Special ’ will be sold on the streets from 7 p.m.
