THEFT BAFFLES POLICE
WAS AEROPLANE USED? LONDON, April 29. It is believed that the thieves who stole pictures valued at £IOO,OOO from Chilham Castle, Canterbury, the residence of Sir Edmund and Lady Davis, may have used ah aeroplane to escape to the Continent. Scotland! Yard regards the case as one of the, greatest mysteries for years. Twenty persons and four dogs in the castle did not hear a sound. 'Art dealers all over the world have been notified by radio. The puzzling question is “ What will the thieves do Jrith the unsaleable art treasures ”
