TAXIMAN’S OFFENCE
INTOXICATED IN CAR [Pbb United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, May 10. “In my opinion you, as a taxi driver, should know much better than other drivers how serious an offence it is to become drunk in charge of a car. There is no suggestion that you were merely slightly intoxicated,” said Mr At M. Goulding, S.M., convicting William Henry Solomon, aged 40. on such a charge. A fine of £2O was imposed, and the defendant’s licence was cancelled for two years from the end of this month.
