(Received April 21, at 1 p.m.) 'The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Berlin correspondent says a lion cub is among the hundreds of birthday gifts to Herr Hitler, the flow of which occupied the special corps of protective guards in piling them up throughout the day. Dr Goebbells gave a bound volume of all his speeches made during the period of the Austrian annexation, including Dr Schuschnigg’s farewell. Herr Himmler gave a dagger inscribed: “We will always be the same in' good times and bad.” Herr Hitler took the salute •at a great march-past in Unter Den Linden. CELEBRATIONS IN AUSTRIA LONDON, April 20. (Received April 21, at 1.10 p.m.) The ‘Daily Telegraph’s ’ Vienna correspondent says Herr ' Hitler’s birthday was celebrated by. many military processions and the planting of hundreds of trees.
