M. CHAUTEMPS’S WARNING HEEDED.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright
PARIS, February 28, (Received March 1, at 8 a.m.)
The Senate was about to reject the Government’s series of Bills passed by the Chamber dealing with arbitration in trade disputes and so forth, but refrained on a warning from M. Chantemps that rejection would mean his resignation.
The Senate is now confining itself to amendments which are certain to be rejected when the Bills return to the Chamber. A critical period is expected in the middle of the week.
