“BLACK-OUT” IN GLASGOW

(Received February 26, at 8 a.m.) An air raid and “ black-out ” were staged at 12.30 a.m. in Glasgow, when there ' was still considerable traffic about. All street lighting was switched off. Volunteers led women to safety and , extinguished a fire at a house built specially in an isolated position for the occasion, on which an incendiary bomb had exploded. Other experiments with high-explosive bombs and gas passed off successfully. ■
