MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —At the Dunedin municipal elections in 1935 many electors, while recognisin'! Mr J. J. Marlow’s claims to the position of mtyor of the city, could not bring themselves to vote for him Giving to their religious scruples. It will therefore be very interesting to learn whether or not history is to repeat itself at the elections on May 11 next, for among the candidates selected to represent Labour is an unduly large proportion of persons of the same religious faith as that held by Mr Marlow.—l am, ec., February 25.
