AMATEUR ATHLETICS
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS The final day of the" annual track and field championships of the Caversham and Civil Service Harrier Clubs was held at the Caledonian' Ground, last night, when many good- performances were recorded, by members of both clubs. In the Civil Service section five fresh club records were established—9ft ijin in the Pole Vault, sft 4Jin in the High Jump, 28 l-ssec in the 220 Yards Hurdles, 52 3-ssec ip the Senior 440 Yards, and lOmin 40sec in the Junior Two Miles, Three Caversham records were also eclipsed,- new figures being:—lsoft 2in in the Javelin Throw, 56 2-ssec in the Junior 440 Yards, and 3min 25 2-ssec in "the 880 Yards Walk.
