DAMAGE OH COAST [Feb United Press Association.} GREYMOUTH, February 11. .A heavy northerly gale this afternoon was followed by a rapid drop in tho temperature, and a storm of a cyclonic nature developed, which shattered wireless poles, windows, skylights, and interrupted the electrical supply in Cobden, a portion of the borough, and also damaged lines in the southern portion, where tho effects of the wind were worst. The overland telegraph line was damaged between Kumara and Otira. One fishing craft, the launch Helena, was kept for several hours outside the port by the gale, the crew having an anxious time.
