FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) CASE ADJOURNED. Hearing was resumed in the afternoon of the two charges against the Co-operative Dairy Company of Otago Ltd. _ of manufacturing butter which contained more than 16 per cent, of water. The company, which was represented by Mr E. J. Anderson, pleaded not guilty. John Mitchell, a storekeeper, of Port Chalmers, for whom Mr W. F. Forrester appeared, wag charged with selling the butter. Mr E. Tuckwell prose.cuted on behalf of the Department of Health. The Magistrate adjourned the case until Friday next to enable the defendant company to analyse the sample held by the department, the case against Mitchell being adjourned sine die. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. William Arthur, charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place on November 20, was convicted of drunkenness and fined 10s, with medical expenses (£2 2s). The charge of disorderly conduct was withdrawn. CHARGE DISMISSED. A charge of dangerous driving against Colin Greek Campbell, who was represented by Mr J. M. Paterson, and who pleaded not guilty, was dismissed. The case arose out of a collision on the Dunedin-Portobello road on October 21. In dismissing the case the Magistrate said he was convinced that the complainant was guilty of negligence, and should have been the man. dhajeasd instead of the defendant.
