TOWN CLERK’S DEATH. Thomas Fogarty, town clerk at Palmerston for the last two years; was found dead in bed _in .an hotel at Palmerston .this morning. . Mr Fogarty who was a married. man, came from Bluff. His engagement _ with the Palmerston Borough Council had' concluded earlier in. the -week. An inquest will be opened to-morrow, > STEEL ENTERS ARM. A fragment of steel entered the right forearm of Augustus Smolensk;, a married' man, residing at 1 Brbckville Toad, Kaikorai, while he was working for the city tramways department last-evening. He was admitted to the Hospital at 3 o’clock. CRUSHED FINGER. Robert Frood, married, residing at 109 Harbour Terrace, crushed his finger while working at a machine at the Hillside Workshops yesterday afternoon, and was taken to the Hospital at 3 o’clock.
