ITALY'S ADHERENCE REGARDED AS “UNFRIENDLY ACT" BY RUSSIA Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 10., The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Moscow correspondent says that the official Soviet attitude to Italy’s adherence to the Anti-Comintern Pact is that it is aimed against Britain and France rather than against Russia. It is pointed out that owing to the vast distances- separating Italy and Russia there is no question of active Italian intervention in possible war between Russia and Japan or Germany. The Soviet has protested against the “ unfriendly act,” but there is no sign of intention of reprisals against Italy. POLAND'S ATTITUDE ANXIETY IN PARIS. LONDON, November 10. Mr Vernon Bartlett, in the ‘ NewsChronicle,’ says; “Although Colonel Beck assured the British Ambassador in Warsaw that Poland would not join the Anti-Comintern Pact the situation in Poland is pausing great anxiety, especially in Paris. There are indications that a serious attempt may be made within a few days to establish a fully-fledged Fascist regime with Marshal Rydz-Smigly as dictator. A coup would lead to overthrow of President Moscicki, who is hostile to totalitarian tendencies, and almost inevitably to civil war similar to that in Spain.
