RECALLED TO ROME ACCUSED OF ESPIONAGE. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 4. The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Paris correspondent states: “It is understood that the Italian Vice-consul at Port Vendres has been recalled to Rome after accusations of duplicating consular activities with espionage on behalf of Italy, possessing a wireless transmitter, and advising the Government of movements of Mediterranean shipping.”
