EMPIRE PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION
OFFICERS ELECTED [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 4. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association the following officers were elected :—Presidents, the Speakers of the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives; vice-pre-sidents—the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, the Leader of the legislative Council, the Hon. Mark Fagan, the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Hamilton, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Sir Janies Allen; treasurer, the Hon. W. W Snodgrass; secretary’, the Clerk of Parliaments, Mr C. M. Bothamley. Mr J. O’Brien, the member for Westland, was elected to represent the association at the sesquicententry celebrations in New South Wales in January. It was announced that Sir Haward Dogville, secretary of the United Kingdom branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association, w’ould visit New Zealand after attending the sesquicentenary celebrations in New South Wales early next year. He expects to arrive at Auckland on February 14.
