A fractured skull and head injuries were suffered by John Carnaham, a boy who resides at 667 Cumberland street,' yesterday, when he was knocked from his bicycle by a motor car in the Octagon. A married man, Raymond Hird, recently engaged as a woolclasser atj Tangihau Station, Rere (Gisborne),' was found shot this morning, with a shotgun alongside the body.
