The Cambria arrived at Foynes at 10.32 a.in., taking 12h 2inin, the fastest west to east crossing of the present series of flights. The average speed was 168 miles an hour. CAMBRIA REACHES SOUTHAMPTON (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 9. (Received August 10, at noon.) The Imperial Airways’ flying boat Cambria readied Southampton Water at 5 p.m to-day, continuing the nighttime journey from Botwood (Newfoundland) to Foynes, which was completed in llh 57min, or 6min less than the Caledonia’s time. She left Botwood in extremely hot weather, but How mudi of her course at a height of ](),000ft to catch the following wind. The temperature there was about freezing point. At one time she altered her course to avoid a storm from which lightning flashes could lie seen*
