AIR EXPERT ON LOAN
PROMOTED TO GMHIP CAPTAIN [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 10. The Hon. F, Jones (Minister of Defence) announced receipt of advice from the Royal Air Force that Wing-com-mander Cochrane has been promoted froup captain, while on loan to the New, ealand Government for six months. Group-captain Cochran© was seconded to New Zealand duty for six months to advise on air defence. When his report was received, at the beginning of this year the period was extended to two years. •
