TASMAN CROSSING
AWATEA AND MCNTEREY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, August 8. The Awatea is expected to berth to-morrow morning about 8 o’clock and the Monterey a few hours later. Both encountered bad weather in tfaa early part of the voyage from Auckland, and this precluded anything in the shape of a record, but it is expected that the actual steaming tune across the Tasman will reveal little difference between the two ships. The Wanganella is expected from Wellington about 10 a.m.
