AT MASTERTON FOR TRAINING RETURN TO WELLINGTON ON THURSDAY [Feb United Press Association.] MASTERTON, August 9. . The Springboks _ arrived here this afternoon for training, and will return to Wellington on Thursday afternoon. There was no civic reception, as the South Africans made a request in this direction. This afternoon the players were taken for a trip to Mikmiki for rabbit and hare shooting. They will be entertained to-night at the Soldiers’ and Masterton Club. SECOND TEST ACCOMMODATION ERECTING TEMPORARY STAND [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 9. To provide accommodation for 50,000 people to see the Springboks’ test on September 4 a further temporary stand to hold between 2,000 and 2,500- people is to be erected at Lancaster Park. The Canterbury Rugby Union is giving consideration to provision for the many people who will come from outside Christchurch to see the test.. Part of the seating in the temporary stand will bo available for the Sprmgboks-Canter-bury match on August 21.
