The fortnightly meeting of Court Enterprise was held in the court room, Unity Chambers, on Tuesday last, C.R. Bro. Steffons presiding, and all officers being present except the J.B. (Bro. Williams), who was working. The Woodwards’ report on the sick members was- very satisfactory. An invitation was received from Court Pride of Leith for Wednesday, August 11, also Court Pride of Green Island for Wednesday, August 18. It was decided to accept both and attend officially. One maternity claim was received and passed for payment. A letter, was received from a brother in Melbourne, giving particulars of the difference in forestry in the two countries, the courts he had linked up with being worth £7,000, whereas Court Enterprise was worth £25,400. A funeral claim was received on account of one of the old members, and was passed for payment; also the surplus moneys duo to the late brother, amounting to £O2 12s lid, being £2O death claim and £42 12s lid surplus money. P.C.R. Bro. T. Mason reported on the funeral of the late brother, and thanked the members for turning out in such largo numbers. P.C.R. Bro. Brettell reported on the visit to Court St. Andrew’s 500 tournament, where the court’s team was defeated; also the church parade on Sunday, August 1. mentioning that the members who did not attend missed a treat, as the subject that Mr Stevely spoke on applied to all friendly society members. P.C.R. Bros, James Patton and E. Johnson reported on Court Pride of Dunedin’s seventy-fifth anniversary banquet. Two new candidates were initiated into the order by the C.R. with the usual formalities, I.P.C.R. Bro. H. Hogg taking the second part, and the S.C.R. (Bro. W. Cooper) welcoming the new brothers with the Foresters’ toast. One more proposition was received for next court night. The following courts were invited to P.C.R. Bro. George • Currie’s evening:— Courts St. Andrew’s. Pride of Dunedin, Pride of Leith. Marion (Mosgiel), King Edward’s Pride, and Woodland’s Pride. The court secretary (P.C.R. Bro. W. M. Hogg) read the half-yearly balance sheet, which showed the court to be in a flourishing position. After paying out £313 for sick pay, the sick and funeral fund had increased £317 15s lid, management fund £l7 3s lOd, No. 1 surplus £5 3s 2d, benevolent fund £8 10s 3d, trustee and secretary £6 15s Id, mat-
