(Received August 6, at 1 p.m.) Paris messages show there is a general appreciation in Franco that the exchange of letters between Mr Chamberlain and Signor Mussolini contain nothing derogatory to friendly undex - - standing existing between the British and French Goveimmonts, and that a more cordial atmosphere should result in the relations between London and Rome fi'om the Premier’s recent correspondence. The attitude of the majority of French commentators is warmly welcomed in London.
